In undertaking a significant facelift, Upside Development executed a Modern transformation on the interior of this home, allowing its owners to enjoy a clean and modern interior, while they experience a seamless view of the stunning outdoors.

Design focused on complete restructuring of ground floor to a new open concept family room and kitchen. A complete structural revision of this home posed a remarkable challenge to remove dropped bulkheads, relocating structural posts and revising exterior walls for all new window openings.  The homeowners are thrilled with the decision to update all the back walls with floor to ceiling glass, introducing a new 18’ triple sliding door, all accentuating the continuous flow with the spectacular backyard view.

With a new modern interior, the kitchen was relocated in order to open up the centre core of the home. The previous formal living room now hosts the new piano lounge and library, a customized concrete wall mantel around the wood-burning fireplace that has made this a common hang out spot.  The home offers a warm welcome with a reclaimed wide plank engineering flooring throughout, a delightful accent to the very clean interiors.  The second floor master bedroom was combined with an auxiliary bedroom in order to increase both functionality and to include a luxurious en-suite.  Throughout, windows were added to increase the flow of light and outdoor views. Various built-ins, wall paper, glass-door office space, sleek Italian kitchen along with a customized concrete dining table all speak the language of Pinehurst.
